How your figures are handled

Calculations run in your browser. We keep no record of the numbers you enter, and the only stored item is a short-lived exchange-rate cache.

Figures you enter into any calculator stay in your browser's memory while the page is open. They are not sent to our servers, and they are not saved to any database. Closing or refreshing the page clears them. The currency calculator stores exchange rates in localStorage for one hour, along with the last-updated time, so repeat visits are quicker. That cache holds only rate data, never your amounts. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site data settings.

Live and historical rates are requested from open.er-api.com and api.frankfurter.app. Each request sends only the base currency code needed for the rate lookup, with no personal identifiers. We do not use these requests to track you, and we do not sell or share any data gathered through this site.
